Sir,?For the past two years I have been using the intravenous route for the administration of sodium salicylate in cases of rheumatic and myalgic affections with very good results. The relief of pain is rapid, the stiffness disappears much more quickly than by the oral route of administration; and the period spent in hospital is also cut short. The strength which I use is 10 grains in 10 c.c. of water. Ten grains of sodium salicylate are dissolved in 10 c.c. of sterile water. This is then filtered into
